This shiraz has crept up in alcoholic content to about the same strength as fino sherry. It remains a generously flavoured , rich regional wine, if a little hot for some. Plumy varietal cues, touches of spice and earth, deep flavor and good body make it an honest winter warmer. A backbone of big, butch tannins keeps it all together.
